Released October 2, 2026. The biggest update yet. A real register for the counter, purchase orders and receiving, consignments and trade ins, customer invoices you can get paid on, a smarter Deals page, full specifications on every product, and a long list of fixes to ordering, payments and pricing.
Added
- A register built for the counter. The point of sale opens on large tiles that work with a mouse or a touchscreen, with Layaways, Returns, Cash Drawer and Settings on a bar along the bottom. Find customers with a phone keypad, use a keyboard or barcode scanner, add a new customer right from a search, and switch between day and night themes.
- In store pricing. Counter sales can carry their own markup, separate from your website, GunBroker and Guns.com. MAP isn't applied at the register by default, with a switch to turn it on if your agreement requires it. Nothing rings up below your minimum price or below cost.
- Cash drawer counts. Count the till at a shift change or at close. The system shows what should be in the drawer and whether you're over or short.
- Layaway at the counter. Set the down payment (your store percentage is the minimum), search layaways by name, phone, email or plan number, take payments across the counter, and charge a customer's card on file. Cancel a plan and keep its payment history, or delete a test plan.
- Consignments and trade ins. Take a gun in on consignment or on trade from one counter screen. The person's details are collected first, the acquisition goes into your FastBound bound book, and the gun can't be sold until it's in the book. On a trade toward a purchase, sales tax is charged only on the difference.
- Purchase orders and receiving. Write purchase orders to any vendor, including manufacturers you buy from direct, and receive partial shipments against them. Close a short line or a whole PO without rewriting what you ordered. Buy ammo by the case and stock it by the round. Ship to store orders you place with a distributor turn into purchase orders on their own.
- Vendor accounts and the Incoming queue. Each vendor has a page with terms, lead time, what's on order, what's coming and what you owe, plus invoices and payments recorded against a PO. Vendor performance shows how fast and how completely each one fills orders. One Incoming screen lists everything you're still waiting on.
- Customer invoices. Build an invoice for an account like a school board or agency, with their PO number. Add items by UPC, pick payment terms such as Net 30 or Due on delivery, and email a branded PDF to as many people as you need. Your customer can approve or decline from the email, pay by card through your own gateway, mail a check, or pay at delivery. An approved invoice turns into an order with one click.
- Receive a gun from a dealer. The receiving screen can now take a box from any licensed dealer, not just a distributor. Search the dealer by name, city, ZIP or FFL number, pick them, and their current license fills in and their FastBound contact is created for you.
- Deals built from real price gaps. Your Deals page now finds guns, optics and better accessories where one distributor's cost sits well below the others, which usually means someone is clearing inventory. It defaults to Top Deals, has Firearms, Optics, Accessories and All tabs, and works with every search filter. Shoppers never see your cost or which distributor it is.
- Full specifications on every product. Product specs now come from every distributor that publishes them: caliber, action, barrel and overall length, capacity, finish, sights, safety, twist rate, thread pitch, magnification, reticle, eye relief, bullet weight and more. The Specifications tab always shows on the product page, and the same specs fill your admin Specs tab and power the search filters.
- Credit card surcharge (off by default). Charge up to 3% on credit cards only. Debit and prepaid cards are exempt, shoppers see the fee before they order, and refunds return it. You can exempt individual customers, just like tax exempt.
- Promo code manager. Create discount codes limited to certain customers, products, dates or a number of uses, with a plain English preview of what each code does. Free shipping codes can be capped.
- Stock Requests. See every customer waiting on a back in stock alert, grouped by product, so you know what's worth ordering. Send the alerts right away or export the list.
- Online returns with a signature. Customers can request a return with the order number, reason, condition and photos, and sign it on their phone. Your own return window, restocking fee and address are used, and nothing is approved automatically.
- Ready for Pickup and pickup only items. A Ready for Pickup status emails the customer that their item is at the store, with your address, hours and what to bring. You can mark items as in store pickup only, and checkout won't let anyone pay to ship them.
- GunBroker controls on one page. Settings has a GunBroker tab with your login, a setup guide, a Terms of Sale picker, a master switch and listing rules (minimum cost, firearms or accessories, distributors, categories, only what's on your shelf). Shipping can be flat, from your GunBroker shipping profile, or free. The listing template lives there too, with a live preview from one of your real products.
- Store controls. Limit your catalog to firearms only or to items a distributor you can order from has in stock, hide NFA items, block states you won't ship to, set category markups, and preview how a cost turns into a sell price with "Try a Price." A "Why this price?" badge on the product page shows every rule that set it.
- Easier admin. Pin your favorite admin pages to the top of the menu, create customer accounts with a temporary password, attach a website account to a counter sale, and test your payment gateway and every distributor login with one click (no charge or order is placed).
- Pricing tools. Add a percent or dollar amount for a specific distributor in Pricing Profiles, set a reship surcharge for brands that won't dropship, and declare how far below cost you're willing to go for break even pricing.
Changed
- Brand and category pages work like search. Clicking a brand or category opens the search page with that filter already set, so shoppers can narrow it with every filter, sort and page.
- Better search. Exact UPC, SKU or part number searches go straight to the product, with or without dashes. A brand search shows that brand's guns first, then mags, ammo and optics. Shoppers can narrow by type, and long filter lists have their own search box.
- Shopping on a phone. Filters open in a slide in drawer so products show first, applied filters show as chips you can remove, and product pages have a buy bar pinned to the bottom of the screen.
- Your store, your name. Pop ups, receipts, emails, FFL packets, GunBroker templates and the login page show your store's name and logo everywhere. System alerts go to 2AData support instead of to you.
- You only see distributors you have an account with. Each distributor turns on with your own login, its feed turns on only after a passing connection test, and AI order picks never suggest a distributor you can't order from.
- Product titles and descriptions stay factual. AI writing never invents specs, keeps words like Used and Refurbished, and never shows a distributor's name as the brand. An Improve button tidies your own description without rewording it, with Undo one click away.
- Price comparison and shopping feeds. Each feed shows its own status and has an on/off switch. Ammo goes out only with a verified round count, hazmat items are left out, and the Google Shopping feed follows Google's own rules.
- Faster pages. Product images load as smaller files, and category, search, brand and admin pages load much faster.
- GunBroker listings. Sold out items have their listings ended every 5 minutes, a hand set sale price is used as the GunBroker price, and descriptions keep their paragraphs.
- Your settings stay yours. Price updates no longer refill a MAP or MSRP you cleared or override your manufacturer MAP choices, and a product you switch off stays off.
Fixed
- Orders that never reached the distributor. Some dropship and ship to store orders said "placed" without being sent. They now go through or say plainly that nothing was ordered. Ship to store orders carry your full store address and FFL.
- Distributor logins on dealer stores. Saved logins for RSR, Chattanooga, Lipsey's, Sports South, Zanders, Davidson's, Bill Hicks, Orion and AmChar now connect, and emails and FFL packets to distributor reps actually send.
- Payments. A gateway left in Test Mode, or a Blue Dog sale declined by the address check, can no longer book an order as paid. Blue Dog refunds and voids work from the admin and count as done only when the gateway confirms it. Orders on dealer stores no longer fail to save after the card was charged.
- Sales tax. The server figures tax itself, so checkout can't be tricked into $0 tax, and rates like 8.125% are exact.
- Sold out items. An item in the cart can no longer be bought after it sells out, and GunBroker listings are no longer created from stale stock.
- Prices. Dealer stores no longer pick up TheGunDock's hand set prices, Pricing Profile edits save, and the register charges the same price your website shows.
- Ammo details. Round counts that were really muzzle energy figures, wrong box counts and wrong gauges are corrected across the catalog.
- Product editing. Make Primary on a photo sticks, saving a product can't blank its web address, local stock quantities save correctly, and the Images tab lets you remove wrong imported photos.
- Tracking. When a distributor splits an order into more than one package, every tracking number is recorded.
- Placeholder photos. Thousands of products showing a logo or "No Image" card now show a real photo where one exists.
- Search and pages. Deactivated products no longer appear in search, short searches like "CZ" work in the admin, and a number of pages that showed raw code or crashed now load properly.
Security
- Closed several holes found in a security review, including one in the public review photo upload, background jobs that could be triggered from the web, and weaknesses in the admin login.
- Uploaded FFL and SOT licenses now require an admin login to open.
- One store can no longer see another store's distributor stock or credentials.
- Secrets are no longer written to logs, and SVG files are no longer accepted for logo uploads.
