Deleting an FFL document

Updated October 9, 2026 in FFL transfers

When you delete a dealer's FFL or SOT document it stays deleted, and the order stops showing View FFL until a new document is uploaded.

Sometimes a dealer's document on file is wrong or out of date, for example an expired license. You can delete it, and it stays deleted.

How to delete it

  1. Open the dealer record. Either go to Shipping & FFL > FFL Dealers and press Edit on the dealer, or, from an order, press Manage Dealer in the dealer section.
  2. Find the License Documents box.
  3. Under FFL License, press Delete and confirm. For an SOT, use the Delete button under the SOT document instead.

What happens

  • The document is removed from the dealer record, and orders for that dealer no longer show View FFL.
  • It does not come back on its own. Trinity remembers that you deleted it, so a copy of the same document gathered earlier is not put back on your orders.
  • A new upload works as usual. When the dealer sends a fresh license, upload it or approve it on FFL Uploads, and it shows on the order again.
