A customer says their emailed price is not showing

Updated October 19, 2026 in Pricing and markups

An exclusive price or counter offer you email a customer is tied to a code. The price applies when the customer either clicks the button in that email, or adds the item to their cart and enters the code from the email in the cart.

  • Adding the item from your website without the code shows the regular price.
  • Each code has an expiry date, shown in the email. After it passes, the regular price applies.
  • If the item has sold out, it cannot be added to the cart, so the code cannot be used. Offer the customer a similar item that is in stock.

Reminder emails for an unfinished checkout only include items that are still in stock.
