Gift cards

You create gift cards in your admin; customers redeem them at checkout. Customers cannot buy gift cards on your website yet, so take payment the normal way and then create the card.

Create a card

1. Open Gift Cards.
2. Click Create Gift Card, enter the amount ($10 to $1,000) and the recipient's email. A name and an expiry date are optional.
3. Click Create Gift Card. The code appears on screen; it starts with GC.
4. Give the code to the customer yourself. The store does not email it.

At checkout

The customer clicks Have a promo code or gift card?, enters the code and clicks Apply. Any amount left stays on the card for next time.

Manage cards

On the Gift Cards page you can look a card up by code or email, see what is issued and outstanding, use Adjust Balance with a reason, or cancel a card.
