Why an order can come in for an item that is now out of stock
Stock and prices are refreshed from your distributors every 10 to 30 minutes, and checkout uses the latest figures. An item can sell out at the distributor between two updates, and a GunBroker sale can come in before the listing is ended. When that happens the order arrives for an item that now shows 0.
What to do
- Open the order and look at Source / Distributor for the item. It lists every distributor that carries it, with cost and quantity, and badges such as OOS, BEST and AI PICK.
- If another distributor has it, pick that one and use Process Selected Items as Dropship or Ship to Store.
- If you know the distributor still has it (for example, you called them), tick Override Inventory to send the order to a distributor showing 0.
- If nobody has it ("No sources found"), contact the customer about a wait or a different item. See Swap the gun on an order instead of refunding.
Only you decide whether an order is cancelled or refunded. See Cancel an order.
