Shipping setup: fees, labels and EasyPost
Set what customers pay for shipping on the Shipping page, and link EasyPost so you can buy and print labels.
Your shipping fees
Set what customers pay for shipping on Shipping. The page has a Simple view (the everyday fees most stores need) and an Advanced view (EasyPost rates, insurance, Alaska and Hawaii, HazMat and territory rules) when you want finer control.
- In the Simple view, set a flat Firearm Rate ($), a Handgun Rate ($) if handguns cost less to ship, and the rate for orders with no firearm in them. Start them a little high; you can trim them later.
- To charge for every gun in the cart instead of once per order, see Charge shipping per gun instead of per order.
- Click Save All Settings at the bottom.
Link EasyPost for labels
Shipping labels are bought through your own EasyPost account.
- Sign in to your EasyPost account and copy your production API key.
- Open Settings and go to the Integrations tab.
- Under EasyPost (shipping labels), paste it into EasyPost production API key and click Save Integration Settings.
- Click Test EasyPost connection. It lists the carriers your EasyPost account can ship with.
Once it is linked, labels are bought and printed from the order page when an order is ready to ship, and the customer is emailed the tracking automatically. To print straight to your label printer, see Print labels and slips straight to your printers.
