List items automatically: Listing Rules

Updated October 22, 2026 in GunBroker

A listing rule picks catalog items for eBay and says how they list, so you do not activate them one by one. Open Listing Rules and click Create listing rule.

  1. Rule name and approval: name it, then choose Review before listing (matching items show as Suggested in the Catalog for you to activate) or List automatically (matching items are activated for you).
  2. Choose products: items must match every filter you set. Your cost from and up to, Item type, Brands, Supplier (your store stock or a distributor), Drop ship (any, only items a distributor drop ships, or only items that are not drop shippable) and Store categories. Leave a filter empty to take everything. The box on the right counts the Matching items as you change filters and shows a few of them.
  3. Listing settings: the Condition, Shipping policy, a Price change (a percent up, or down with a minus sign), How it sells, Best Offer for fixed price, and the duration, start and reserve for an auction.

Click Save rule and update items to apply it now, or Save rule to apply it at the next update. Update items from rules at the top runs every rule again. With automatic sync on, rules run every hour. The summary at the top counts the rules, the items matching them, the items waiting for review and the items activated by rules.

More than one rule

If an item matches more than one rule, the first rule wins. Use Up and Down to change the order and Turn off to pause a rule. Items a rule already put on eBay stay live when you turn it off or delete it; end them on Active Listings.

Note: Rules only choose from items eBay allows. A price change never takes a price under MAP or under what covers your cost after eBay's fees; an item that would be waits and says why. Start with one rule for the items you want on eBay first, set to Review before listing, and check what it picks.
