Change one eBay listing: condition, auction, Best Offer, photos and text

Updated October 22, 2026 in GunBroker

Click Review on any item in the Catalog or Active Listings. The page shows how that item lists, in cards:

  • Listing basics: the Condition (the list comes from eBay for that item's eBay category), Condition notes for anything that is not new, How it sells (Fixed price or Auction), the auction Duration, and the eBay category, worked out from your store category unless you type an eBay category number.
  • Price and offers: your website price, your cost, MAP and the Automatic eBay price, with what eBay pays you at that price. Type Your price to use your own. Tick Accept offers (Best Offer) and fill in Accept offers at or over and Decline offers under. For an auction, set the Start price and an optional Reserve.
  • Shipping: the eBay shipping policy this item uses. Add or change policies on eBay, or in Settings step 2.
  • Photos: the product photos plus any you add. Use Add photos to upload more (JPEG, PNG or WebP, at least 500 pixels, up to 24 in all). The arrows change the order and the X takes a photo off this listing; the first photo is the main one.
  • Title and description: edit the eBay title (80 characters at most) and the description. In the description, a blank line starts a new paragraph and lines that start with a dash become a list. Links and other business names are taken out.
  • Details eBay needs: shows only when eBay requires something the product data does not say, such as a shirt's size type. Type it as the package says. Nothing is guessed.

Under each setting, a small line says where it comes from: Store default, a listing rule, or Changed for this item. Click Use rule setting again to undo a change.

Click Save changes to keep your changes. On a live listing, Save and update on eBay sends them right away; on a waiting item, Save and send to eBay lists it now. Exclude item keeps it off eBay.

Note: An auction sells one unit and has no Buy It Now price. Its start price, like an accepted offer, never goes under MAP or under what covers your cost after eBay's fees. A live listing keeps its format: end it first to switch between fixed price and auction.
