Give firearms their own markup table
Price firearms on their own markup tiers while accessories and ammo stay on your Standard tiers, using a pricing profile and the Firearms group on the Pricing page.
Trinity can price firearms (every item that ships to an FFL) on their own markup tiers while accessories, ammo and everything else stay on your Standard tiers. You do it with a pricing profile that holds only your firearm tiers, then point the Firearms group at it. Everything is on one page: Pricing in the left menu of your admin.
Create the profile
- Find New profile near the bottom of the Pricing page.
- Type a name such as Firearms.
- To set a floor, enter it in Min markup %. No firearm will then sell for less than that markup over its cost.
- Click Create.
Add its tiers
In the new profile's card, add a tier for each cost range you want priced differently:
- Cost from and to. Leave to blank on the last tier for no top.
- Markup % for firearms in that range, and an optional + Fixed $.
Use the blank row to add each tier, then click Save. Any cost range you leave out uses your Standard tier.
Point the Firearms group at it
- In Which profile prices what at the top of the page, set Firearms to the new profile.
- Click Save.
In store firearms and drop ship firearms follow it unless you pick something else for them.
Check the prices
- Price preview: enter a cost and compare the Standard and firearm prices side by side.
- See items beside Firearms lists sample items with the profile pricing them.
- The Sell Price box on a product's edit page shows its website price.
Where it applies
- Your website: product pages, search, cart and checkout, on the next page load.
- Shopping site feeds such as gun.deals and WikiArms: at their next refresh, usually within an hour.
- GunBroker and other marketplaces: never. They always use your Standard tiers.
MAP and a price you set by hand on a product still win, the same as on Standard.
Undo it
Set Firearms back to Standard in Which profile prices what and save, or click Deactivate on the profile. Prices go back to Standard on the next page load.
The same steps work for any group: accessories, ammo, in store items or drop ship items.
