Setting up your GunBroker terms of sale
GunBroker shows your Additional Terms of Sale under every listing. You write them once in GunBroker, then pick them in Trinity so every listing carries them.
Every GunBroker listing has a section for your Additional Terms of Sale: payment, FFL transfers, shipping and returns, in your own words. GunBroker calls a saved set of terms a Standard Text. You write it in GunBroker, then tell Trinity which one to use. You do not need to send anything to us.
1. Write your terms in GunBroker
Sign in to your GunBroker account and create your terms in Seller Tools. Give them a nickname you will recognise. GunBroker's own screens change from time to time, so if you cannot find the right page, GunBroker's seller help will point you to it.
Things worth covering:
- How buyers pay, and how long they have to pay.
- What you need for a firearm: the buyer's FFL dealer, and where the dealer should send their license.
- How and when you ship.
- Your returns policy. Keep it in line with the Terms and Conditions on your website.
Make sure the FFL instructions point at a mailbox you actually read. A wrong address there is the most common reason a transfer stalls.
2. Pick them in Trinity
- In your admin, open System > Settings and choose the GunBroker tab.
- Under Listing Settings, find Terms of sale.
- Press Load my terms from GunBroker. Trinity reads your GunBroker account and lists the terms it finds, by nickname.
- Pick the one you want in the Terms of sale list.
- Press Save Settings.
Every listing Trinity creates from then on carries those terms.
If nothing loads
- "No terms found": GunBroker has no Standard Text on your account yet. Create one in Seller Tools, then press Load my terms from GunBroker again.
- An error message: Trinity could not read your GunBroker account, usually because the GunBroker sign in details saved in Trinity are out of date. Check them in the same tab under Your GunBroker account, or email support@2adata.com.
Changing your terms later
Edit the wording in GunBroker. If you create a brand new Standard Text instead, come back to the GunBroker tab, load your terms again, pick the new one and save.
Still stuck? Email support@2adata.com and tell us which article you were reading.
