Why the product page shows 26% when my markup is 35%
Both numbers are right. They measure the same price two different ways.
- Markup is what your settings use. It is a percent of your cost: a $689.95 cost with a 35% markup sells for $931.43.
- Gross margin is what the product page shows. It is your profit as a percent of the sell price: $241.48 profit on a $931.43 sale is 26%.
The pricing box at the top of each product page shows both: Gross Margin in large type and the markup on cost right under it. Click the small i beside Gross Margin for the math with that product's own numbers.
| Markup | Margin |
|---|---|
| 15% | 13% |
| 25% | 20% |
| 35% | 26% |
| 50% | 33% |
