Add inventory by scanning a barcode
Scan a barcode on Add Local Inventory to find the product, then enter the quantity, your cost and the condition. Each firearm is added on its own.
- Go to Local Stock in the left menu and click Add Inventory. This opens Add Local Inventory.
- Under Step 1: Find Product by UPC, scan the barcode with any USB or Bluetooth scanner. The UPC box is ready for a scan as soon as the page opens. You can also type the UPC or SKU and click Look Up.
- If the item is in the catalog, its name, brand, category and photo fill in for you. Under Step 2: Add Inventory, enter the Quantity, Cost Per Unit ($) (what you paid), Condition and Location, then click Add to Inventory.
Firearms
A firearm needs its Serial Number, and each gun is received on its own: one serial, quantity 1. Scan or add each gun separately. Keep your bound book as you normally do; this lists the gun for sale.
Selling price
The price comes from your markup settings on the Pricing page. To set one item's price by hand, open it in the product editor and use Sale Override.
Not in the catalog?
Use Create a New Local Item on the same page. Enter the Item Name, Category, Selling Price ($), Your Cost ($), Quantity, Condition, the UPC if it has one, and the serial for a firearm, then click Create & List Item. It goes live on your website. New items can take a few minutes to show in the website search.
