Products and catalog
Control the items, categories and catalog rules that determine what shoppers can buy.
- Add a product of your ownUse New Product. Scan or type the UPC first to see if we already carry it. Drag and drop as many photos as you like; the first one becomes the main photo.
- Add inventory by scanning a barcodeScan a barcode on Add Local Inventory to find the product, then enter the quantity, your cost and the condition. Each firearm is added on its own.
- Add your own local inventoryUse Add Local Inventory for used guns and local merchandise (hats, shirts, ammo you stock) that do not come from a distributor feed. Scan a UPC or create the item by hand, add a photo and price, and push it live.
- Back in stock alertsWhen an item is out of stock, shoppers can tick Notify me when back in stock on the product page. Their requests are listed on Stock Requests.
- Block a brand from your site and GunBrokerSetting a brand to Inactive does not take its products off your site. The Hide boxes do.
- Keeping your product edits (the product lock)Your catalog is refreshed automatically from the distributor feeds and our catalog updates.
- Make an item pickup only (it cannot be shipped)For an item you will only hand over at your counter, such as a large item you do not want to ship, mark it pickup only.
- Sell a used gun that has the same UPC as a new oneA used gun gets its own listing, with its own price and its own stock, even when the new version of the same gun is in your catalog. Both show on your website and in your admin.
- The page warned me something is missing. Can I save anyway?Yes. The warning lists what is missing and what it costs the listing (for example, no manufacturer means it will not show under its brand). Click Go back and fix or Create anyway.
- What is hidden by defaultSome items are hidden from your store until you choose otherwise: hazmat, law enforcement only items, and NFA items.
- Why an item does not show in its categoryUsually it has no category set. Open the product, choose a category and save. Items with no category can still be found by search, but not by browsing.
