Sell a used gun that has the same UPC as a new one

Updated October 19, 2026 in Products and catalog

A used gun gets its own listing, with its own price and its own stock, even when the new version of the same gun is in your catalog. Both show on your website and in your admin.

  • Consigned: take it in on Consignments. Enter the Asking price and the UPC (if known), then click Take it in.
  • Taken in on trade: take it in from the POS screen during the sale, then release it from the trade in list once its bound book entry is in.
  • Bought outright or found in stock: use New Product and set Condition to Used.

The used listing is marked Used and keeps the UPC for reference only. That is on purpose: it means the distributor's price and stock for the new gun never overwrite your used one, and an order for the used gun is never filled with a new one from a distributor.

Set or change the used gun's price on its product page.
