Refund an order (website and GunBroker orders)

Updated October 19, 2026 in Orders and fulfillment

Refunds are done from the order itself. You never need to sign in to your payment gateway to refund.

  1. Open the order from the Dashboard.
  2. In the payment section, click Process Refund.
  3. Choose Full Order Refund or Partial / Select Items. For a partial refund, tick the items to refund.
  4. Tick or untick Include Shipping and Include Tax. If you charge one, you can also take off a Restocking Fee or a shipping label cost under Deductions.
  5. Add a Reason for Refund if you like. The window shows the exact amount before anything happens.
  6. Click the Process Refund button at the bottom.

The refund goes back to the card through your store's payment gateway. A charge that has not settled yet is voided instead. The order updates itself (a full refund marks it Refunded), and the customer gets a refund receipt by email.

GunBroker orders work the same way: the refund goes against the GunBroker payment through your gateway. See Does a refund on a GunBroker order include the card fee?

Important: Refunds are never automatic. For a return, get the item back first, then refund.
