How distributor rules decide what you can sell

Updated October 19, 2026 in Distributors

Your store only counts a distributor's stock for an item when none of your rules rule it out. Rules come from:

  • Brand settings on Manufacturers: the distributors you allow or exclude for a brand. A distributor in the brand's allowed list is always used for that brand, even if it is also ticked as excluded.
  • Word rules, such as a distributor that does not sell ammunition or tree stands, match words in an item's category and name. A word rule never removes a firearm because of a word in its name, so a gun listed as "17 Rounds" still counts.
  • Weight limits for distributors that will not ship heavy items.

The order page lists every distributor that has the item. Ones your rules leave out are greyed and marked EXCLUDED, so you can still see them. Use Override Inventory on the order if you decide to order from one anyway.

Buy a brand only from certain distributors

  1. Open Manufacturers, find the brand with Search manufacturers... and click Edit.
  2. Under Blocked Distributors, tick every distributor you cannot or do not want to buy this brand from. Blocked distributors do not show as a source on orders.
  3. Click Save Changes.
