Chattanooga (CSSI): orders under $50 and hazmat ship to store
Chattanooga adds a minimum order fee to small drop ships and will not drop ship hazmat at all, so Trinity sends those lines ship to store.
Chattanooga Shooting Supplies (CSSI) charges for drop shipping, and its charges make small drop ship orders a bad deal. Trinity handles this for you.
Chattanooga's drop ship charges
These are Chattanooga's published drop ship rates as of October 2026. They are Chattanooga's numbers, not ours, and they can change, so check with your rep if you are relying on one.
| Item type | Drop ship charge |
|---|---|
| Accessories | $10.95 |
| Ammunition | $13.95 |
| Handguns | $14.95 |
| Long guns | $13.95 |
On top of that, Chattanooga adds a $7.50 minimum order fee to a drop ship order under $50 in cost.
Chattanooga will not drop ship hazmat (primers, powder and the like) at all.
What Trinity does
For every line that would come from Chattanooga, Trinity looks at the line's cost, which is your cost times the quantity:
- Under $50: the line is ordered ship to store. It comes to your store, and you ship it on.
- $50 or more: it can drop ship as normal. Several of one item can add up past $50, and then there is no minimum order fee.
- Hazmat: always ship to store, whatever the cost.
The order page shows the reason next to the Chattanooga source, so you can see why it chose ship to store. If you try to place a Chattanooga drop ship order yourself for one of these lines, Trinity stops it before anything reaches Chattanooga and tells you to ship it to store instead.
Do I need to set anything up?
No. It applies to every Chattanooga line automatically.
