How to get Davidson's credentials for Trinity
Trinity uses your Davidson's login for catalog updates and for orders. Davidson's orders always ship to your store, never drop ship.
Davidson's supplies its catalog, inventory and quantity files over FTP (their "V2" feed). In Trinity, your Davidson's login is used for catalog price and quantity updates and for sending orders.
What to ask your Davidson's rep
- Access to the V2 data feed over FTP, and the exact file names for the catalog and quantity files.
- Have your dealer account number handy, and the FFL numbers of the Davidson's warehouses that ship to you. Davidson's runs more than one warehouse (North Carolina and Arizona).
Davidson's does not drop ship
Every Davidson's order is ship to store, whatever is on it. It ships to your own address on file with Davidson's, and you send it on to the customer or their dealer yourself.
Where it goes in Trinity
- In your admin, open Shipping & FFL > Distributors.
- Press Configure next to Davidsons. The Davidsons Settings page opens.
- Under Website login, enter your Davidsons website username and Davidsons website password.
- Fill in your Davidson's customer number (6 digits, plus the 4 digit ship-to or order location if Davidson's gave you one), your dealer account number, and the shipping FFL numbers of the warehouses that ship for you, separated by commas.
- Press Save Settings, then Test connection. When the test passes, turn on Catalog updates and Ordering.
The FTP feed details themselves are set up by 2AData. If Davidson's sends you FTP details, see Sending credentials to 2AData safely.
