How to get Iron Valley Supply (Bangers) credentials for Trinity

Updated October 9, 2026 in Distributor setup

Iron Valley Supply uses the Infor ION API. Your rep sends a .ionapi file, and Trinity reads every value out of it for you.

Iron Valley Supply (also known as Bangers) uses Infor ION API, which signs in with OAuth2. Instead of a username and password, your rep gives you a small .ionapi credentials file. It holds the Client ID, Client Secret, Service Account Access Key (SAAK), Service Account Secret Key (SASK) and the token URL.

What to ask your IVS rep

  • API access for your account, for your integrator Trinity by 2AData.
  • The .ionapi credentials file.
  • Your operator initials and operator password, and your customer billing ID, if IVS issues them for your account.

Where it goes in Trinity

  1. In your admin, open Shipping & FFL > Distributors.
  2. Press Configure next to Iron Valley Supply. The Iron Valley Supply Settings page opens.
  3. Open the .ionapi file in a plain text editor, copy everything in it, and paste it into IONAPI File Content under the IONAPI File Parser.
  4. Press Parse IONAPI File. Trinity fills in the Client ID, Client Secret, Username (SAAK), Password (SASK) and Token URL for you.
  5. Enter the Operator Initials, Operator Password and Customer ID IVS gave you, and an FFL Document Email if IVS wants FFLs sent to a particular address.
  6. Press Save Settings, then Test OAuth2 Connection.

Do not retype the values from the file by hand. They are long and easy to get wrong; the parser copies them exactly.
