Why some RSR items go ship to store
RSR refuses to drop ship certain items for each dealer account. Trinity reads your account's list every day and orders those items ship to store for you.
RSR keeps a list of items it will not drop ship. The list is different for every dealer account: an item your account can drop ship might be blocked for another store, and the other way round. In RSR's own data the flag is called Blocked from Dropship.
What Trinity does with it
Once a day, Trinity signs in to RSR with your store's own RSR account and reads that account's Blocked from Dropship list. It never borrows another store's list, because the list really is different from one account to the next.
When an order comes in for one of those items and RSR is the distributor:
- Automatic fulfillment orders it ship to store. The item comes to you, and you ship it on to the customer or their dealer.
- The order page shows the reason next to that source: RSR blocks drop ship of this item for this store's account, so ship to store.
- If you try to place a drop ship order yourself, Trinity stops it before anything is sent to RSR, with a message that RSR will not drop ship the item for your account and that you should order it ship to store instead.
Do I need to set anything up?
No. As long as your RSR account is connected in Trinity, the list is refreshed every day on its own. Until the first daily pass has run, nothing is treated as blocked.
Why not just try the drop ship anyway?
RSR will not drop ship a blocked item for your account, so trying only delays the order. Sending blocked items ship to store from the start keeps the order moving.
