Email and logins
Manage account access, passwords, email delivery and login issues for your team.
- Add your store mailbox to Outlook or an iPhoneMicrosoft 365 email (including Microsoft 365 bought through GoDaddy) blocks the old password only connections, so add the mailbox as a Microsoft account rather than IMAP or POP.
- Can I send store email from a Gmail address? It works for a while, but Gmail limits how many emails an account can send per day. A busy day of order confirmations, price emails and tracking emails can hit that limit, and then everything stops until the next day.
- Change your own passwordChange your password on Users & Passwords. Passwords need 8 to 20 characters, with at least one number and one special character.
- Connect your outgoing emailYour store sends order confirmations, tracking and price emails from your own mailbox. Set it up on Email Sending Settings (also reachable from Settings and the Setup Wizard's Email step).
- Give someone on your team their own loginGive each person on your team their own login on Users & Passwords, with their own email address and role.
- How do I know my emails are actually going out?The Price Requests page shows, for every request, whether the price email was sent and, where we can track it, when the shopper opened it. Order and tracking emails are recorded the same way on our side.
- Logins and passwordsEverything about your team's logins is on Users & Passwords (left menu, under System).
- My website is not sending email, or Outlook keeps failingIf your store email is on Microsoft 365 (including Microsoft 365 bought through GoDaddy), one setting has to be on before your website can send through it: Authenticated SMTP for your store mailbox.
- Someone forgot their password or is locked outThey can reset it themselves: on the sign in page, click Forgot your password?, enter the email on their account and click Send reset link. The link in the email works once and expires in one hour.
- Stop someone from signing inOn Users & Passwords, click Turn off next to their name. You can turn them back on later. You cannot turn off your own login or the last admin.
- Verify your store email domain (two DNS records)Two DNS records on your domain keep your store's emails out of spam folders. We send you the exact values for your domain; you add them where your domain is hosted. The steps below are for GoDaddy.
- What is the difference between Admin, Manager and Staff?Admin has full access and can manage other users. Manager and Staff can work in the admin but can only change their own password.
- Your store emailYour store sends order confirmations, price emails and tracking emails from your own address. These answers cover the common problems.
