How to get Lipsey's credentials for Trinity
Lipsey's needs a dropship-enabled account before Trinity can send orders. How to tell if you have one, what to ask your rep, and where the login goes.
Lipsey's connects through its API using account logins. Electronic drop ship orders need a dropship-enabled Lipsey's account, which is not the same as a regular dealer account.
Check whether your account is dropship enabled
Sign in at lipseys.com. A dropship-enabled account shows a DROPSHIP SALES section at the top of the page. If you do not see it, that login is not a dropship account, and your sales rep will need to create one for you.
What to ask your Lipsey's rep
- Which account and login to use for drop shipping, and to create a dropship account if you do not have one.
- Which login or API credentials to give your integrator, Trinity by 2AData.
Where it goes in Trinity
- In your admin, open Shipping & FFL > Distributors.
- Press Configure next to Lipsey's. The Lipsey's settings page opens, with these instructions in a box at the top.
- Under Credentials & Settings, enter your Customer Number, the email and password for your dealer account, and the email and password for your dropship account.
- Press Save Settings, then Test connection.
- When the test passes, turn on Catalog updates and Ordering.
Passwords are stored encrypted. Once saved, a password shows as dots: leave the dots to keep it, or type a new one to replace it.
Good to know
Trinity picks up Lipsey's tracking from their daily shipping report. See When Lipsey's tracking shows up.
