How to get RSR Group credentials for Trinity

Updated October 9, 2026 in Distributor setup

RSR places your drop ship orders through its Live API, which RSR has to activate for your account. Here is what to ask for and where it goes in Trinity.

RSR Group connects to Trinity in two ways: an FTP feed for the catalog and inventory, and the Live API for electronic orders. The Live API is switched on per account, so RSR has to activate yours before orders can go through.

What to ask RSR for

Email directconnect@rsrgroup.com and copy support@2adata.com. Ask RSR to activate your account or accounts in the Live API for your integrator, Trinity by 2AData.

  • Give both account numbers if you have them: your main account and your dropship account.
  • If you do not have a dropship account yet, ask RSR to create one.

Something along these lines works:

Please activate my account(s) in your Live API system so my integrator, Trinity by 2AData, can place electronic orders on my account. My account numbers are [MAIN ACCOUNT] and [DROPSHIP ACCOUNT]. If I do not have a separate dropship account, please set one up as well.

Once RSR confirms, check that both logins sign in at rsrgroup.com. If they sign in there, the same details work in Trinity.

Where it goes in Trinity

  1. In your admin, open Shipping & FFL > Distributors.
  2. Press Configure next to RSR Group. The RSR Group Settings page opens.
  3. Under Credentials & Settings, fill in the drop ship account (RSR Dropship Account Number and RSR Dropship Password) and, if you use one, the ship to store account (RSR Ship-to-Store Account Number and RSR Ship-to-Store Password). Set Account Type and POS Indicator (assigned by RSR) to match what RSR gave you.
  4. Press Save Settings, then Test connection.
  5. When the test passes, turn on Catalog updates and Ordering.

The RSR FTP feed details are set up by 2AData rather than on this page. If RSR sends you FTP details, see Sending credentials to 2AData safely.

Good to know

RSR keeps its own list of items it will not drop ship for each account. Trinity reads your account's list every day and orders those items ship to store. See Why some RSR items go ship to store.
